Trip Introduction

Tashi Lapcha pass trek situated in Rolwaling region is known for being very challenging and demanding to its trekkers. As with all difficult things the trek is quite rewarding by being able to view and trek in one of the finest geographical setups around the world. The highest point in the trek is the high camp at 6178m. The difficulty of the trek is increased by frequent icefalls and shifting of the glaciers. You will also have a chance to view and better understand the culture of the indigenous people here mostly the Sherpas, Gurungs and Tamangs. Various mountains such as Gaurishanker, Rolwaling, Yalung Ri, Melungtse and Dorje Lakpa can be seen during the journey.
The journey requires the trekkers to be physically fit and mentally prepared for the trek. Having climbed summits or been on some treks before embarking on the journey may also be useful while following the trail. As the altitudes of the peaks are relatively high, some getting used to is necessary and ample time for acclimatization is scheduled in the journey. Changes to the trek can be done to make the trek more applicable for trekkers.
