Trip Introduction

Tilman pass trek resides in a far-off and less explored part of the Langtang region. It offers views of the Paanch pokhari (five sacred lakes), glaciers and remote mountains. It is home to wildlife such as Red panda, blue sheep, Bears, leopards, Jackals, wild peacocks, Pheasant, Mountain Thars and other magnificent creatures. The trail takes us close to various Himalayan ranges for spectacular scenery such as Gaurishankar, Langtang and Rowaling range.Various mountains such as Langtang Lirung, Naya (New) Khanga, Ganesh Himal, Dorjelakpa and bamboo and Rhododendron forests will be viewed closely during the trek. The region is secluded from much of the civilization and trekkers are able to bask in the beauty of the landscape and wildlife. The culture here as in all Himalayan regions is impacted by the Tibetan culture mixed with Nepali lifestyle. The rural people that are indigenous here are mostly sherpas and gurungs. The trek starts from Syabru Besi and reaches the highest altitude of 5320m at Tilman pass.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01  Arrival in Kathmandu
One of our representatives will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You will spend the night at the hotel and are welcomed with a traditional dinner at a restaurant.
Day 02  Kathmandu sight seeing
On the second day, you will be taken on a tour of Kathmandu valley mostly around religious and historical places found here. After the tour you will meet you trekking team and the trekking leader. Your trek leader will give you relevant instructions and information about the trek.
Day 03  Kathmandu - Syabru Besi
Today after breakfast we will take a ride to syabru besi. The trip can be by bus or aprivate vehicle.
Day 04  Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel
The trail from Syabru Besi goes through rhododendron, bamboo and oak forests along the bank of the river Langtang and reaches the Lama hotel where the journey comes to a halt for the day.
Day 05  Lama Hotel to Langtang village
As we continue along the river Langtang through the rhododendron forest we reach Langtang village.
Day 06  Langtang to Kyangching Gompa
Our destination today is the Kyanching Gompa famous for its cheese and curd. While on the trail we come across villages filled with traditional houses, built by mud and stone, to finally reach Kyangching Gompa.
Day 07  Acclimatiztion
This day is scheduled for rest for acclimatization for getting used to higher altitude and exploring around Kyangching Gompa.
Day 08  Trek to Langshisa Kharka
The trail then leads to Langshisa Kharka at 4080m
Day 09  Trek to Moraine Camp
we trek towards Moraine camp at 4580m while enjoying the view of various snow-capped mountains and beautiful scenery.
Day 10  Trek to Tilman Pass - Tilaman phedi
We trek to Tilman pass at 5320m then to Tilaman Phedi and rest for the day.
Day 11  Trek to Tin Pokhari
The trail then leads us to Tin pokhari (the three lakes) which is about 3735m above sea level.
Day 12  Trek to Paanch Pokhari
Then we head towards paanch pokhari (the five lakes), a sacred lake to the hindus, which is about 4060m above sea level.
Day 13  Acclimatization day
This day is scheduled for rest for acclimatization for getting used to higher altitude and exploring around panch pokhari.
Day 14  Trek to Nasimpati
We then start to descend slowly towards Nasimpati passing though forests filled with oak and rhododendron where we rest for the day.
Day 15  Trek to Bhangyang
Descending from Nasimpati we reach Bhangyang which is covered with green vegetation.
Day 16  Trek to Pauwabas
We then reach Pauwabas in about 5 to 6 hours and has a shelter for pilgrims.
Day 17  Trek to Kharka
The trail then leads us to Kharka where we see the Himalayas getting further and further away.
Day 18  Trek to Okhreni
We reach Okhrens after descending through the green vegetation along the trail.
 
Day 19  Trek to Chautara
The trek comes to an end after we reach Chautara, we rest here for the day and explore the surrounding here.
Day 20  Syabru Besi to Kathmandu
The trek has ended and the trekkers take a bus back to Kathmandu from chautara and and go back to the hotel.
Day 21  Departure day
A vehicle will be scheduled to drop you at the international airport for your departure flight.
